Apple iPhone 4G: OS 4.0 release will come with multitasking support this Summer

Some breaking Apple news to bring you now, as one source has seemingly confirmed that the iPhone and iPhone 4G will come with multitasking support within OS 4.0 – via a software update.

That is according to this article from Apple Insider, who are going on information given to them from people with a ‘proven track record’ in predicting Apple’s technological advances.

We understand that Apple have developed a “full-on solution” to multitasking, which now means of course, that the iPhone and iPhone 4G will be able to run several third party apps in the background at once.

At the moment, no specifics on how multitasking within the iPhone would work, but it looks like it is a feature that is definitely on its way to consumers this Summer.

What are your thoughts on this? Very exciting news if this is true. The iPhone 4G with video calling and multitasking – it gets better and better.
