Steam for Mac: Cross-platform Left 4 Dead 2 confirmed
By: Alan Ng | March 9, 2010 | 1 CommentWe have some great news for Mac owners now, as not only has Valve confirmed the rumors surrounding Mac for Steam, they also revealed that multiplayer on Left 4 Dead / 2 will be playable cross-platform style between PC and Mac owners. Awesome.
As reported from Eurogamer, the Mac version of Steam will be released sometime next month, and will allow users to play through the ENTIRE collection of games through Steam on your Mac.
It is specifically the ‘Steam Play’ feature that will allow the cross-platform multiplayer play between PC and Mac on Left 4 Dead and L4D2 – meaning that you will not need to purchase extra copies.
Were you expecting this to happen? If only the PS3 and Xbox 360.. ok, maybe not! Let us know your thoughts on the news.
