iPhone App Store: ‘Apple’s done a very nice job’ – Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer
By: Alan Ng | March 9, 2010 | 2 CommentsIn an interesting turn of events, Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer has praised the Apple iPhone App Store, stating that the company has done a ‘very good job’ on it. This comes in the midst of a tablet battle with the iPad and the HP Slate, by the way.
As reported from Apple Insider, Ballmer made the comments at a recent speech at the University of Washington. His full quote reads: “Apple’s done a very nice job that allows people to monetize and commercialize their intellectual property.”
Many believe that Apple could allow Microsoft’s Bing search engine to be the default choice on the iPhone, so could Ballmer be trying to mend the relationship between the two companies? Judging by his statement above – maybe so.
