Fridge with Internet: Samsung’s new gadget

Refrigerators with Internet have been available for some time now, but Korean consumer Electronics maker Samsung has released the most advanced fridge with Internet to date – the Zipel e-Diary. The latest product allows the owner to surf the web by making use of Wi-Fi access and the 10-iinch touchscreen display.

The fridge comes with its own software, which has been developed by Samsung engineers. Just think next time you go to your refrigerator to get some orange juice, you will be able to watch all the latest news headlines, get a weather report for that day or even view photos of your family.

IT Chuiko explains that not only can the Zipel e-Diary access the Internet but can even receive data from cell phones. The cost of the fridge is a little on the expensive side – 2.49 million Korean won ($2,220). This cool gadget – sorry the pun – will only be available in Korea.
