Call of Duty 2011: Sledgehammer developing action-adventure title for Xbox 360, PS3

Some breaking news to deliver to you now, as following on from all the confusion surrounding Infinity Ward, Activision and Call of Duty yesterday, we have now learned that Sledgehammer Games will be developing an ‘action-adventure’ Call of Duty title in 2011.

Before you all jump to conclusions, it is thought that it WONT be the only Call of Duty title to be released in 2011, so we still may see a CoD title from Infinity Ward in the end, as they still ‘remain a key part of Activision’s plans’ – according to the company.

While announcing the changes to their Call of Duty franchise in an official press release, Activision also confirmed the departure of two studio heads from Infinity Ward in Vince Zampella and Jason West.

What are your initial thoughts on this ‘action-adventure’ Call of Duty title that is on the way? We’ll keep you updated with further information as we get it.

    pretty dumb that the first CoD makers are letting these people ruining their games. WaW was alright because of the zombies.. MW2 Sucked like hell. MW was my overall best but still. the only good thuing about the MW series is the story mode. so i hope Black Ops have a good part of it like different kind of zombies or something. no zombie dogs either, they were just horrible in WaW. and would be in any game

    call of duty is the best army game ever and ill enjoy a modern warfare 3 if there will be one but i wish they will make the players punch somebody in the game that will be super fun
