Next week is the start of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and is the 80th edition of the event. We all know that previous auto shows this year has been subdued, but that is not stopping 30 world premieres along with a host of other debuts. We just hope that the European auto show does not disappoint.
There are only a handful of auto shows with importance, and the Geneva Motor Show is certainly one of them. Some of the cars to go on show will be worldwide releases, but a majority of them will be just for the European market. There are so many trends in the world of cars and trucks, but the most popular now has to be hybrids and electric vehicles, with many new models debuting next week.
Hybrid cars in the early days were all about fuel efficiency, these were often ugly and did not offer much in the way of performance. Carmakers today understand that hybrid vehicles need to look the same as our standard gas cars on the road today. Looking at some of the new cars being reviewed on mibz.com looks like they are achieving that goal.
