Skype pull Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile
By: Jamie Pert | February 25, 2010 | Leave a CommentWe have recently heard that Skype have decided to pull a couple of their Skype applications, apparently the versions pulled were Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile.
A statement from Skype revealed why the decision was made, here is an extract from that statement “Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile were not offering the best possible Skype experience”.
It is thought that Skype want to deliver the same Skype experience which is offered with the iPhone and Symbian versions, some experts believe that they may directly port the iPhone version for Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7 operating systems.
As we hear of replacement versions for the Windows Mobile platform we will keep you posted.
