More Customization: New iPhone OS 4.0

By Peter Chubb - Feb 25, 2010

For those of us who choose not to jailbreak our iPhone or iPod Touch we lack certain features, such as customizing your interface, better apps and multitasking. However, this would still not persuade many of us to start jailbreaking our devices, so have to wait until Apple launch a newer version of the operating system, such as the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0.

Apple have never wanted iPhone or iPod Touch owners to make changes to their devices, but due to increased competition they might be forced into offering us these customization features. According to iPhone Gamer Blog, Apple’s competition has maintained that they offer more to their users because of allowing them more control over the customization of their handsets.

Most Android phones along with other handsets such as the MyTouch lead the way in allowing a user to customize their own settings. There have been many times when I have become frustrated with my iPhone and the lack of things that I am apple to change myself. However, I stick with it in the hope that Apple will see the light, we now wait to see if they answer us with iPhone OS 4.0.

The MyTouch is an Android phone. A Google Experience one, too, so it's hard to know that it's not unless you don't do any research for your articles.
