Intel Rules AMD and NVIDIA in Performance, Power Consumption

When it comes to trusting computer hardware companies, Intel is not very well liked at the moment. There are a number of reasons for this, we are certain that AMD and NVIDIA can give you a few examples. However, things are not all bad for the chipmaker, if looking for computer hardware with the best in performance and power consumption, Intel rules.

Engadget learned from bit-tech.net that those who have a grievance with Intel would have to except that Intel hardware is more power friendly than AMD and NVIDIA are; this has to be a hard pill for both technology companies to swallow.

While looking at the findings we were not shocked to learn that older CPUs perform badly compared to newer energy efficient ones. However, we were surprised to learn that the new range of SSDs for desktops offered little savings in power compared to standard 5,400RPM hard disk drives.
