We have recently heard that Apple’s iTunes Store has recently reached an impressive milestone, on Wednesday the service surpassed 10 billion song downloads.
Apple had earlier announced a competition related to this milestone, whoever was responsible for the 10 billionth download would receive a very generous gift.
This generous fit would be an iTunes gift card worth $10,000, this card can also be used to purchase apps from the App Store.
These figures show that there have been 5 billion song downloads in just 18 months, as they reached the 5 million song download milestone in June 2008.
