HP Compaq AirLife 100: HP’s First Android-based smartbook

HP have recently unveiled their first-ever Android-based smartbook, this smartbook is called the HP Compaq AirLife 100 and could perhaps change the laptop, smartbook and netbook market forever.

This smartbook will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QSD8250 chipset, this means it features a 1GHz processor and will be capable of 720p video decoding and will feature WiFi, HSPA and GPS connectivity.

It features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of Flash memory and 16GB of internal flash-based storage along with an SD card slot.

Other mentionable features include instant-on capability, a front-facing VGA camera along with a 3.5mm headset jack, the dimensions of this smartbook are 264 × 166.5 × 23.8 mm and weighs just 1 kg.

The HP Compaq Airlife 100 will launch sometime this spring, we are currently unsure of pricing.
