Mobile World Congress 2010: Steve Jobs ‘personality of the year’

By Jamie Pert - Feb 18, 2010

At this week’s Mobile World Congress 2010 they announced the “Mobile Industry Personality of the Year”, although he was not present at the event the award went to Apple’s Steve Jobs.

The decision was the result of a vote which took place at the event, the attending media were the people who voted for Jobs.

The GSMA Awards was hosted by Stephen Fry, this was quite fitting given the fact that Fry is a self-proclaimed Apple fan.

Other awards which were announced at the event included “Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service”, this award went to Research in Motion for their BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.

HTC won the “Best Mobile Handset or Device” for their Android-based HTC Hero, for further details check out AppleInsider.
