14 MP Camera / 1080p at 30fps Video Recording: Coming to Smartphones

If you have been looking for improved photo and video capture on future smartphones you may be happy with this next post, recently CMOS imaging technology company Aptina revealed their new 1.4-micron MT9F011 mobile camera image sensor.

This sensor captures 14 megapixel photos and is also capable of recording HD video (1080p) at an extremely impressive 60 fps.

Aptina state that that mass production of the MT9F011 will start in Q2 2010, this could result in devices utilizing this impressive sensor towards the end of 2010.
