By Jamie Pert - Feb 15, 2010

As you have probably noticed there have been a huge amount of new handsets revealed at this years Mobile World Congress, we have recently heard of a development made by Texas Instruments which could dramatically change the handsets of the future.

Texas Instruments have developed a new DLP Pico chipset, this chipset is called the nHD chipset and could possibly allow handsets to feature integrated projectors.

This chipset is smaller and thinner than previous similar chipsets, the nHD DLP will apparently output at 640×360 with a contrast ratio 1000:1.

Texas Instruments will begin production of these chips in Q2 2010, it is unclear as to when handsets will begin offering these chipsets, however as we hear further details we will keep you posted.
