MWC 2010: Further Details Regarding Symbian^3, Open Source and more

Earlier today we posted an article which gave our readers an early glimpse at the Symbian S^3 smartphone operating system, we are now beginning to hear more details regarding the new and improved OS.
One of the most shocking revelations is that this next OS version will be open source, this should result in it directly competing with Google’s Android mobile OS and should increase its appeal to developers.
Other mentionable revelations include support for multi-touch gestures, an improved user interface and better performance.
More advanced information has revealed that Symbian^3 will support 4G networks, 2D and 3D OpenGL ES support, improved memory management, one-click WLAN connectivity and much more, for further details check out SlashGear.
