MWC 2010: Microsoft’s phones can compete with Google and Apple

For some time now we have seen Windows Mobile losing ground to Google and Apple, but Microsoft hopes that they will be able to mount their comeback in the cell phone market at next weeks MWC 2010 (Mobile World Congress). Many believe that it is too late for Windows Mobile, and that they will never be able to catch-up with Android or iPhone OS.

In an article over on the Telegraph, they warn that if you think that you have the latest cell phone, then it could look old-fashioned when MWC 2010 begins on Monday. Many battles are being thought behind the scenes, and things will come to a head at the event when we get to see what hardware advancements have been made.

When it comes to the touchscreen interface, rivals are still playing catch-up to Apple and its ever-popular iPhone. Google have been doing very well, but still have a way to go. However, when it comes to speech recognition, Google have set a benchmark, we now wait to see if the likes of Microsoft or LG can offer anything better.
