Final Fantasy XIII: 3D release could be possible – Square

By Alan Ng - Feb 11, 2010

Some exciting news for fans of Final Fantasy now, as Square supremo Yoshinori Kitase has hinted that a future release of Final Fantasy XIII in 3D could be a real possibility, thanks to Sony’s upcoming 3D PS3 capabilities.

As reported from VG247, not only could it be a possibility, but Kitase admitted that he was ‘interested’ in the idea of a 3D-capable title.

If you are a keen follower of gaming over in Japan, you might already know that a 3D trailer for Final Fantasy XIII is already available right now, and can be seen in theaters alongside the hugely successful Avatar movie.

Personally, I think this is a pretty exciting prospect. Imagine playing an ‘already visually stunning’ game with 3D specs – You’d never leave the house.
