Mass Effect 2 closest to Modern Warfare 2′s numbers

It looks as if Mass Effect 2 is performing really well for the Xbox 360 in terms of sales, after it has been reported that the game was the closest game to Modern Warfare 2, outselling everything else.

As reported from IDG, January sales for the Xbox 360 have now been published and has concluded in Mass Effect 2 outselling all other games except Modern Warfare 2 by a 6:1 ratio.

What does this mean exactly? Well it means that Mass Effect 2 is outperforming other games such as Assassin’s Creed 2, Bayonetta and Forza Motorsport 3.

IDG also predicts that ME2 will total around 1.1 million units in January alone, meaning that the future looks bright for the game, especially with DLC on the way for the game.
