
HTC Hero’s Android 2.1 update: Release Information
By: Jamie Pert | February 10, 2010 | 5 CommentsIf you own a HTC Hero smartphone you may be glad to hear that an official update is coming pretty soon, this official update will bring the handset to Android OS 2.1.
Apparently HTC are currently working on the new ROM, if all goes to plan the official release should arrive in mid-March.
Apparently this update will also include a ‘Friend Stream’ widget, widget “helps users keep up with their buddies on social networks (Facebook and Twitter)”.
We are also hearing that this update will bring improved Microsoft Exchange support, exactly what improvements will be made is unclear, however it should improve the appeal of this handset to business users.
