A recent article posted on InfoSyncWorld suggests that Apple are beginning to show signs of a new iPhone in-App strategy, this new strategy apparently is said to revolve around Apple’s Quattro Wireless.
Quattro Wireless were purchased by Apple as they have excelled in the market of in-app advertising, the plan is for future apps to be supported by location-based advertisements.
Apple were initially interested in purchasing AdMob, however Google quickly ‘snapped up’ this company, in the end Apple purchased Quattro Wireless due to the growing revenue associated with in-app advertising.
Many believe that Apple will soon not approve apps that “incorporate competing revenue sources”, whether regulators have any control over this is unclear.
