Apple iPad Price Cut: If sales disappoint

By Updated on

A recent article posted on MacWorld.co.uk looks into the possibility that Apple may cut the Apple iPad price if unit sales are not sufficient.

Apparently Credit Suisse analyst Bill Shope recently met with Apple’s executives, apparently during this meeting Apple indicated that they would almost certainly slash iPad prices if they didn’t manage to sell enough units.

When the iPad was released many possible consumers were put off by a lot of different things, the lack of multitasking was one huge downfall, however pricing for a 3G model also proved to be unpopular.

Currently prices for WiFi models range from $499 to $699, however WiFi and 3G models start at $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model.

Many believe that the hype surrounding the iPad really died down when pricing, features and specifications were revealed, therefore a price drop may be what Apple’s iPad needs.
