Sega Zone console: Will you be buying it?

If you didn’t know by now, Sega are preparing to release a brand new console onto the gaming market this summer, which will let you play games Nintendo Wii style, as well as play countless classics from Sega’s endless library.

The big question is though: Will you be buying it? Take a look at these close-up images of the official packaging for the product. You have to say, that it is pretty appealing to the eye, so we have a feeling that Sega are already onto a winner here, even though it is nothing groundbreaking.

Classics such as Sonic and Knuckles, Ecco the Dolphin, Alex Kidd and Golden Axe will be available from the list, no word on whether the awesome Streets of Rage series will be included or not though.

You’ll also be able to play 16 games using the bundled motion controllers, such as table tennis, darts and beach volleyball.

However, there is one slight disappointment: gamers will not be able to add to the collection of games themselves, with Sega simply stating that more games will be available ‘in the future’.

It will be priced at around £50 in the UK, we’ll let you know when an official date is set. Will you be picking up the Sega Zone? Vote in our poll below, giving your reasons why.

I’m saying no on this one.
