New Russian Fighter Jet: Sukhoi T-50 first test flight on video
By: Daniel Chubb | February 6, 2010
This past week saw the new Russian Fighter jet – Sukhoi T-50 – get its first test flight, which was kept under secrecy before being released by the planes manufacturer. You can see a video of the Sukhoi T-50 getting its test flight below this post.
The video shows the new Russian Fighter jet in flight and landing, which was shown during a news report by Russia Today. The Sukhoi T-50 is designed to match the U.S. F-22 Raptor that had its first prototype unveiled nearly two decades ago.
Russia aims to retain its lucrative export market, which is needed thanks to the current rusting Soviet-built arsenals. Officials from Russian say that it will take “another five years” before we will see the new jets released into air force service.
