By: Jamie Pert | February 5, 2010 | Leave a CommentIt has been revealed that Broadcom plan to integrate Bluetooth 3.0 into upcoming chips, these chips will be used in smartphones, netbooks and notebooks etc.
Their new Bluetooth + HD specification should allow transfer speeds of up to 24Mbps between devices, however the standard will still offer a relatively short range.
It is unclear as to when devices will begin offering Broadcom’s Bluetooth, however it is thought that a recent deal with ODM partners suggest it could arrive in laptops and netbooks quite soon.
