iPhone OS 3.1.3 Update: Download today, features include battery fix
By: Peter Chubb | February 2, 2010 | 5 CommentsToday has seen the release of the new iPhone OS 3.1.3; the update offers a number of new features including a battery fix. This firmware update is not only for Apple’s smartphone but also for their iPod Touch as well, and offers improved accuracy for battery level reporting.
The iPhone OS 3.1.3 Update also resolves the issue with third-party applications, as you know some would not launch at all. There has also been a bug fix, like the one when applications crash when running the Japanese Kana keyboard.
Some of the most important updates are the ones that you do not see; these are security updates and had affected the CoreAudio, ImageIO, Recovery Mode and WebKit.
The last update was back in October, but we wonder when we will get to see iPhone OS 3.2?
The update was launched last week for developers to use when working on new applications for the upcoming iPad. The update will offer a number of screen enhancements, which you can learn more about from Apple Insider.
