Apple Tablet News: Steve Jobs to change e-book business forever
By: Jamie Pert | January 27, 2010 | Leave a Comment2009 turned out to be a huge year for ebooks and eReaders however many predict that the upcoming Apple iTablet will change the e-book business forever.
Currently Amazon’s Kindle is the market leader in the e-book market, however many believe that Steve Jobs and Apple’s tablet device will dethrone the Kindle.
Personally I am not too sure whether the iTablet will compete directly with the Kindle, currently “Amazon’s Kindle Wireless Reading Device (6″ Display, Global Wireless, Latest Generation)” is available for $259.99, I very much doubt that the Apple’s upcoming tablet will be anywhere near this in-terms of pricing, granted it will offer a lot more functions but I think that the Kindle is sufficient for most people.
Granted the tablet should offer a huge amount of functionality when compared to the Kindle, however people already have laptops, netbooks, smartphones and smartbooks, therefore why do consumers need an Apple Tablet?
