Human Bed Warmers: A product with a personal service

We all know how cold it can get in bed in the evenings, which is why we often choose to take a hot water bottle to bed or even use an electric blanket. However, the Holiday Inn has another great alternative one that I think is the best yet, “Human Bed Warmers”. The new service is to begin this month at three of their hotels in the UK.

A member of staff from the international hotel chain will be dressed in an all-in-one fleece sleeper suit and then get in your bed. Before you get too exited, the member of staff will leave your bed once it has reached the ideal temperature so you can get in and enjoy how nice and warm it is.

According to Reuters, the bed-warmer has a thermometer to test when the bed reaches 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit). This is certainly a much better idea than an ugly electric blanket, but we are not sure if this latest idea will catch on with other hotel chains.

A spokesperson for Holiday Inn said that the human bed warmer will be fully clothed and will leave the bed before the guest got into it. When asked why they did not just use the old-fashioned method, the spokesperson replied that their method was “quirky.”

Do you think this new idea will catch on, explain your reasons below?
