It has recently been reported that a strike took place late last week at the factory where Apple’s iPhones are built, in total it is thought that 2,000 employees took part in the strike.
The strike itself is said to be the result of a dispute regarding “bonus payments and the use of hazardous substances”.
It is thought that the hazardous substance in question is N-hexane, this substance is used to clean LCD panels, however is banned in most countries and could lead to death or paralysis.
It is thought that the bonus-related dispute is now over, as for N-hexane the LCD manufacturer Wintek deny that the substance is a cause of death or paralysis, for more details check out MacWorld.
