Apple certainly know what they are doing when it comes to launching new devices, you only have to look at the iPod and the iPhone to understand just what we mean. Apple is all set to repeat its success with its much-rumored tablet PC device. None of us thought that the iPhone would become popular as a gaming device, but it is and the tablet could do the very same thing.

There are an increasing number of gamers all choosing to download games from the App Store onto their iPhone’s, so why would they not do the same for the tablet PC? This depends on two factors, how well can the games work with the rumored OLED screen and the price of the device itself.

We should be able to answer both of those questions on January 27, which is the date set for the Apple event. It is not known what will be discussed at the event, but the latest rumors suggest that it could be the unveiling of the Tablet PC running on iPhone4.0 OS and the new iPhone 4G.

According to TechRadar, Apple have invited a number of top videogame journalists to their event at the end of the month, this certainly makes you wonder why they have done this. Then again, maybe they might be launching games on Apple TV.

Why do you think Apple is inviting these gaming journalists to the event on January 27?
