Top Ten Selling Games of 2009: Are You Surprised?

Gamasutra have recently put together a list of the top ten selling games of 2009, this list splits up cross-platform games, therefore you can see which consoles did wellaswell.

The list is as follows, in first place Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360, in second place is Wii Sports Resort, in third place is New Super Mario Bros for the Wii.

In fourth place was Wii Fit for the Wii, in fifth place was Wii Fit Plus for the Wii, in sixth place was Mario Kart Wii, in seventh place is Wii Play for the Wii, in eighth place was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3, in ninth was Halo 3: ODST for the Xbox 360 and in tenth was Pokemon Platinum Version for the Nintendo DS.

One thing that is a huge surprise is just how well Nintendo’s games are selling, it is no surprise that the Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 was top of the list, I wonder if it would have been the case if Microsoft didn’t ban consoles before the release.

    …Im not Surprised with the result of this list! because
    the majority of gamers are kids / teens with prefer Xbox and nintendo Wii .PS3 is more for adults because of the use of the system( as blue ray dvd player or high quality resolution on everything that gets played on it)
    -a lil bother with ps3 being in 8th possition with Mw2 ( should of being in top of the list )but i guess when it comes down to the actual numbers this is what came up to be !!!
