By Jamie Pert - Jan 7, 2010

The HTC HD2 is regarded as one of the most impressive Windows Mobile handsets on the market, therefore it is no surprise that the handset has been officially announced by T-Mobile.

Just to recap the HD2 features a 1GHz processor, a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera along with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity,

The handset hides the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS by using the very impressive TouchFLO UI, prior to this the handset was only available on UK carriers, however a T-Mobile release was expected.

The handset does not yet have an official release date with the carrier, however it is ‘coming soon’, when we hear details of a release date we will keep you informed, for more information check out IntoMobile.

Will you upgrade to this handset? If not, what T-Mobile handset will you choose instead?

A funny thing is happening on phones that are loaded with the Snapdragon processor. The Snapdragon has on-board hardware to handle high-definition video. When a phone comes with Windows Mobile, this video hardware is switched off, as Windows Mobile does not recognise it. On phones that run Google’s Android operating system, the high-definition video works fine.
