HTC Magic: Receiving Android 2.1 Update

If you own a HTC Magic and are on the Canadian carrier Rogers you may be glad to hear that the handset will soon be receiving an update, this will update the handset to Android 2.1.

This update is said to arrive by mid-2010, here is Rogers’ official statement “By mid-year, HTC will issue an upgrade to Android 2.1, including the highly acclaimed HTC Sense experience for the HTC Magic”.

It has also been revealed that the HTC Dream will not receive any updates beyond the 1.5 update, although it has been proven to run stably with Android 2.1.
