When it comes to choosing a password for Twitter many users seem to pick something very easy, making it a hacker’s wet dream. The micro-blogging website has now stepped in and banned 370 of the most common used passwords, and you can understand why.
Twitter users seem to hate the idea of picking a password that is hard to remember, instead going for something very easy. Some of the most common used passwords include, doctor, startrek, password123 and many more. The most common themes for passwords are sports or sci-fi.
If you are a sci-fi fan then the chances are you have used NCC1701 or THX1138, both very easy to remember. This latest move by Twitter was taken after photo-sharing site Rock You was recently sued for making it easy for hackers to gain access to 32 million passwords.
In a recent article written on the Telegraph, people are using the same password for most of the websites that they need to log on too, this as you would expect is a stupid thing to do. Just remember to choose different passwords, and make them something that is unique to you and that no one else would know.
