Casio’s Exlim G EX-G1 gets the hands-on treatment

By Peter Chubb - Jan 4, 2010

I remember two things about November, Black Friday and the announcement of the Casio Exilm G EX-G1, which was dubbed the world’s slimmest shock-resistant camera. The new design certainly turned a few heads, but it is how thin and tough it is that really matters.

The camera is not only shockproof but also dustproof, freezeproof and waterproof meaning it will be able to handle most conditions. Engadget managed to get their hands on the Casio Exlim G EX-G1 camera and thought they would post a few new images for their readers to admire.

The tough little camera will sell for $299 and has a solid feel, but there is a downside to this tough little shooter. You will need a special tool just to get to the battery compartment, although this is a small price to pay if you need to use your camera in extreme conditions

The camera is not going to blow you away with features and picture quality, but you can be safe in the knowledge that the pictures you do take will survive tough conditions unlike standard digital cameras.

Engadget still has some bonding time to go through with the Casio Exlim G EX-G1, visit them now to get all the latest details.
