Modern Warfare 2: Amazon’s Best Selling Item 2009

This next post will probably not prove to be much of a surprise to many, however none the less it is still very impressive, throughout 2009 Amazon UK’s biggest selling item was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This year we have seen the release of some very big releases, these have included Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS, Apple’s Snow Leopard OS and Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 broke a lot of sales records, so it is no surprise it was Amazon’s most popular item.

This is the first time a video game has ever topped Amazon’s sale charts, Amazon sold 1.2 million copies of the game in the first 24 hours in Britain alone.
