Most Improved Vehicles 2000-2009: Chevrolet Malibu Top

By Updated on

The past decade has gone quick and a lot has happened, mostly in the auto industry. Ten years is a long time and car design and technology has changed, mostly for the better. Many mistakes have been made, but the automakers worked hard to fix most of these. So what are the most improved cars from 2000 to 2009?

USA Today have made their top ten list, which excludes 2010 models. The most improved vehicle over the past ten years is the Chevrolet Malibu, so takes the top spot. This car recently saw a major upgrade in 2008 in both its interior and refinement, which was needed after the terrible 2003 and 2004 models.

At number 2 is the Ford Mustang; most of this is due to its 2005 redesign. The reason that the Mustang has made it to number two is due to the 2004 model. This was poorly designed and was like a two-year old had put the car together.

The third most improved vehicle over the past decade is the Toyota Prius, the 2004-09 model was seen as a revolution compared to the older 2001-03 models. However, we have not seen anything yet as the 2010 model is expected to be a huge improvement over the current model.

The other most improved vehicles are:

  • No.4: Hyundai Sonata
  • No.5: Nissan Altima
  • No.6: Kia Sportage
  • No.7: Cadillac CTS
  • No.8: Mercedes-Benz C-Class
  • No.9: Cadillac Escalade
  • No.10: Saturn Vue
