Sine the release of the Palm Pre and webOS one thing that has been holding Palm back is the lack of mobile development environment software, however a beta has finally been released of Palm’s Project Ares.
This new software is completely browser-based, therefore no-matter where you are you can log into your account and continue with your development.
Most of the features that are offered are what you would expect, there is access to a library of ‘Mojo UI widgets’, drag-and-drop file upload and the ability to run apps on the webOS emulator or device.
With the release of this beta it should help developers unlock the capabilities of the Palm Pre and webOS, which in-turn will help build-up Palm’s App Catalog. For more information check out Cnet.
