Facebook indexing Google: A guide how to stop this
By: Alan Ng | December 15, 2009 | Leave a CommentYou may have been reading on the internet, or heard from your friends about all the recent privacy updates to Facebook, and how it affects the information on your profile in terms of what access people have to all of your personal information.
The main issue is the Google indexing feature, which we are hearing will allow random people to access your profile information and photos, unless you disable it in privacy settings.
We bet you haven’t done this yet have you? Luckily, we have found a guide which will help you out, as the last thing users will want is random people browsing over all your personal photos.
To turn off Facebook indexing Google, simply go to settings > privacy > search. You’ll then see a box, which you should unclick. This should sort the problem out, but it might be worth going through your privacy options carefully, to see what other information is accessible to others.
