Twitter Search Engine Integration: Hackers Able to Spam Easier

We have always known that Google, Yahoo and Microsoft Bing are locked in an ongoing battle to be the best search engine, something that Google has dominated for years. Each one develops a new piece of technology that is a benefit to the users. It is no secret that social networking is big business, which is why Google recently offered Twitter integration into its search results.

However, there are now fears that this could allow for hackers to spam much easier than before. USA Today has been talking to a number of security experts on this potential problem, they say that by the search engine using social networking to run a query in almost real-time, then hackers will find it easier to attack users.

The big three search engine giants are also looking at integrating Facebook into its real-time search technology as well, so we could see even more security risks. However, we have to point out that Google, Yahoo and Microsoft would already know about the potential risk from hackers.

According to Tech Blorge, the most common attacks is from spamming links that sends you to a corrupted website, which would then launch its attack on your computer. It is certainly a nice idea offering these great new features to the user, but hackers will also find the feature useful.

One of the main problems is how some hackers have foiled search engines into ranking higher in their search results, surly these search engine giants are looking at ways to stop this from happening.
