The constant rumors of that Google Nexus One phone will not go away, and now we have learned that it has appeared on the FCC website. The cell phone is named as the “NEXUSONE” and is built by HTC. The model number is PB99100 and the FCC filing shows some new details.
We can see that the Nexus One / NEXUSONE offers 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and microSD expansion. We are not certain how big the internal storage will be, but most of it could be external. Engadget explains that the biggest news to come from the filing is in the handset’s radios.
The Google Phone will offer quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and comes with UMTS/HSUPA, the frequencies used for this is 850/1700/1900. This means that the handset is capable of 7.2Mbps download speeds and 2MBps upload on both T-Mobile and AT&T.
Latest rumors suggest that this HTC built handset is to come unlocked and will not break the bank either. These are all the details that is offered on the FCC website, but more news should follow soon.
