Halo Reach on Xbox 360: Multiplayer Beta release update

Following on from the world premiere for the upcoming Halo: Reach title from Microsoft and Bungie, we are hearing reports that the Multiplayer Beta for the game will be going live early next year.

As reported from TechTree, the newest trailer for the game was shown to all at the Video Game Awards over the weekend. If that didn’t get you pumped up for the game’s release, expected September 2010, then news of the Multiplayer Beta just might.

The beta is due to start next Spring and will require Xbox 360 gamers to own a copy of Halo 3: ODST, as thats how you’ll be able to obtain a beta key.

Is this a smart move by Microsoft? Or could it back-fire for users who are unwilling to pick up ODST. Let us know your thoughts on this.
