Apple iMac 27-inch models: Release delayed – The real reason?
By: Alan Ng | December 14, 2009 | 1 CommentSome disappointing news to report to customers hoping to secure a new 27-inch version of the Apple iMac now, as we are hearing that shipment has been delayed, due to a problem relating to faulty graphic cards.
As reported from BGR, it seems to have come at the worst time just before Christmas, and also a nightmare for Apple, as they have also received numerous complains over the new models when shipping began back in November.
As for the new delay though, BGR states that the reason is due to a problem with the ATI graphics cards, more specifically – issues with intermittent flickering and screens that have a yellow hue.
Further problems with the 27-inch models continue to trickle out, so we’ll update you when we know more. If you are a customer who has experienced any of the issues mentioned above, or are waiting for your iMac to ship, leave us a comment with your thoughts on this.
