Nissan Cube: UK reviews and release

By: Daniel Chubb | December 13, 2009 | Leave a Comment

Back in November 2008 we posted some news about the 2010 Nissan Cube, which included U.S. specs and photos. This was followed with news about Nissan Cubes and Clarion’s MiND device in July 2009, so today we thought it’s about time we updated you.

With the Nissan Cube release in the UK this January, the reviews have been flowing. The popular Parkers site – car reviews and news – has taken a first look at the Nissan Cube, although they quickly point out that different versions of the Cube have been on sale in Japan for over 10-years.

January 2010 will be the first time Nissan’s Cube has gone on sale in the UK. Priced at £14,000 and featuring quirky looks, how well the new car will do is up for debate. The car will have to compete against the Toyota Urban Cruiser and Citroen C3 Picasso.

In January there will be only one engine available – a 1.6-litre petrol with 108bhp – and in May 2010 you can expect a diesel option, which will be the 1.5-litre dCi as seen in the Qashqai and Note.

Take a look at Parkers first look here, and Auto Week’s here. Let us know what you think of the Nissan Cube in the comments. Will you be buying one?
