Google Phone: Nexus One
By: Peter Chubb | December 13, 2009 | 1 CommentBy now, we all know that Google are to launch their own branded phone and has been discussed in length on Twitter, which we covered in a recent post. However, we have recently learned that the name of that handset is the Google Nexus One and one blogger has taken a photo of one.
We can clearly see that the Google Phone is a lot like the iPhone as its touchscreen dominates the entire front of the handset. According to Redmond Pie, there is a nice scroll wheel to allow for easy navigation, much like the system that some of the new BlackBerry handsets come with.
You can clearly see that the Nexus One looks a lot like the HTC Passion / Bravo, funny as the hardware has been built by HTC. Both handsets are slated for an early 2010 release, but what one will be the most popular.
We would suggest that the Google Nexus One would have the better performance as it will have the same if not better hardware than the Bravo, but Google will be able to make better use of its Google Android OS.
Do you think that the Google Phone will be able to compete with the Motorola Droid or the Apple iPhone?
