Google Phone Discussions on Twitter: Handset Expectations
By: Peter Chubb | December 12, 2009
We discussed in a recent post that there are to be at least 50 new Google Android handsets released in 2010, and one of those will be the Google phone itself. This phone is special as it will be the first Google-branded phone, and we must be getting close to its release due to the buzz on Twitter.
Examiner learned from The Washington Post that a number of Tweets have been exchanged between Google employees. It seems as if these employees have been issued with handsets for testing, and they just can’t stop Tweeting about it.
Looking at a few of the Tweets, the upcoming phone has been described as beautiful and said that it is like the Apple iPhone, but on beautifying steroids. That is certainly a strange description, one that will have us scratching our heads for a while.
Although this is to be a fully branded Google phone, the hardware is still thought to be HTC; they were the first company to offer a Google handset, the T-Mobile G1.
Please share with us any latest information that you may have on the Google Phone, and what your expectations are.
