Packard Bell to Launch Color E-reader: Will Sell Content
By: Peter Chubb | December 11, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen netbooks first came onto the market there were those companies who did not see them as huge potential, how wrong they were. The next big device are e-readers, and most computer companies do not want to repeat the same mistake so are jumping on the bandwagon quick, such as Packard Bell.
According to the Actualitte, this new device will also be able to gain access to music and movies; this content is to be provided by Packard Bell themselves. The color e-reader will be launched later in 2010; there is no word as to the exact release date or price.
Engadget has been doing some digging and it seems that Packard Bell will also be launching an 11.6-inch convertible netbook in February 2010. This will have access to movies and music, it is thought that this small device will look like the Acer 1820PT.
Both e-readers and tablets are considered to be of most importance to computer makers, which is why there are a number of rumors that Apple will join the party.
This is all the information that we have so far; we will keep you informed once we know more.
