If you have ever lost important data you will know how frustrating it is, therefore you may be glad to hear that Samsung have recently unveiled a new range of rugged memory cards.
This range of memory cards are called the Samsung Plus memory cards, the cards are available in SD, microSD and Compact Flash formats, they are available in 4GB and 8GB capacities (the SD Plus card is also available in a 16GB capacity).
All of the cards in this range are said to be able to withstand over 24 hours in sea water (it seems that the Compact Flash cards will not be able to withstand water as well as other variants), be able to survive being crushed by a 1.6 ton automobile, be magnet-proof and should be able to hold data for 10 years.
Currently we are unsure of a definite release date or pricing, therefore as we find out more we will try to keep you informed, for more details check out SlashGear.
