Packard Bell Recall: Easynote Notebook battery issue
By: Alan Ng | December 10, 2009 | 2 CommentsIt has been reported that computer specialists Packard Bell has had to recall some of their EasyNote notebooks, due to an ongoing problem with defective battery cells.
As reported from iTProPortal, it is thought that the risk could lead to over-heating and even fires, so Packard Bell are not taking any further chances it seems.
Affected Easynote notebook models include the MX36, MX37, MX51 and MX52 series. While the batteries could overheat, Packard Bell insists that there is no chance of electrocution and no injuries have been reported yet.
If you have an affected model, you are advised to either head to the official website here for further info, or you can also ring their helpline number at 0871 467 0008.
