iPhone on Tesco Mobile: Release Date and Pricing details
By: Alan Ng | December 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you are planning to pick up the iPhone on Tesco Mobile once it is released, you’ll want to keep reading as the company has just announced a release date as well as full pricing details for the iPhone.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, the iPhone will be available from Tesco from Monday 14th December. Many were expecting Tesco to announce similar deals to Orange, but it looks as if Tesco have their own ideas.
For just £20 per month on a 12 month contract, you’ll get £60 worth of calls and texts, while you’ll also get unlimited web and WiFi access. Here comes the catch though: Tesco has bumped up the one-off payments that you’ll have to pay for each of the various iPhone models.
It will cost you £222 for the 8GB iPhone 3G, £320 for the 16GB iPhone 3GS and a staggering £407 for the 32GB iPhone 3GS. If you put that into perspective – thats a total of £560 for the year if you choose the 16GB iPhone 3GS option.
If you dont want to pay a one-off fee for the iPhone, the only other option is to pay £60 per month, for unlimited Web, Calls and Texts, but that is subject to a 24-month contract – quite pricey you have to say.
