HTC Droid Eris: Update Available from Verizon

If you own a HTC Droid Eris you may be happy to hear that an update has recently been released, the update has started being rolled out over-the-air from Verizon.

This latest update will be released to a small number of customer first, then throughout the week it will be rolled out to more and more customers.

There are said to be quite a few changes and improvements included in this update. The SMS and MMS delivery is improved, also there are a few bugs fixed relating to hanging up calls when in screen-saver mode etc.

    After the upgrade, the unlock screen is a lot more sensitive and you must begin pressing down on the grey bar with the time or the screen will not unlock. Also, the character counter is now displayed on text messages in the text area and gets in the way of viewing the text.

    Not sure if it is related to this update but coincidentally ever since this update my phone has frozen three times and the only thing I could do was take the battery out and put it back in to get it working again.

    Exactly like Kirk. My phone get frozen too several times. If I receive a phone call it don't ring it doesn't matter the volume is in high and when I answer can not hear anything. The same if I try to make a call. The only way to fix this is shut down and start it again.
